With reference to your letter of the 3rd April 1929, No.62779/29, relative to the proposed removal of the Naval Armament Depot from Hong Kong to Stonecutters Island, I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to transmit, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, copy of a letter to the Treasury seeking the sanction of that Department to provision being made for the scheme in the forthcoming Navy Estimates.

£. A copy of the letter from H.E.The Governor dated 22nd August 1929 is also enclosed, together with copy of correspondence with the War Office.
